Why do I need to submit my ID card?

Gambling is illegal in Germany and by law only allowed in state-licensed facilities, the German casinos. The aim is to make sure the visitor can fully trust and concentrate on the game in a controlled environment. This also means that every casino guest has to register. So when we register your personal data, this is for your own safety, and your personal data is subject to a strict privacy policy.

Is my ID also required for the Casino Lounge?

Unfortunately yes, because you have entered the Casino building. But don’t worry – your data will be handled with the utmost care!

Is there a particular dress code?

Even today, a visit to the casino is a special event in a special setting. This requires appropriate attire – T-shirts, jeans, sneakers, or sandals do not suit the occasion. But don’t worry: Dress codes in the casinos are no longer as strict as they used to be! Men are also welcome without a tie; an open shirt or a polo shirt are fine – as long as you wear a coat with it. As usual, it’s easier for the ladies: They are almost always appropriately dressed for a visit to the Casino Bad Homburg!

Why do I have to pay 10 € for the shuttle?

No worries – this is only a nominal fee we have to charge for legal reasons, because we are not running a public transportation firm. We will, of course, credit the amount back to you when you visit the Casino, so that you really only pay the entrance fee.

“For our employees, thank you!”

You’ll often hear this sentence spoken after a win at one of the tables: “For the employees, thank you!”. We have an old casino tradition in Germany: When you win a game, you give one token/chip of the win as a tip to the croupier at the table. Our employees get paid from these tips: they are not an extra bonus, but account for their income. We would appreciate if you would accept this “unwritten law”. These tips are voluntary, of course, but we appreciate your understanding.

Where do I get coins for the slot machines?

This may come as a disappointment: Our modern slot machines no longer require coins: Our machines accept bank notes or our own cashless card. This card is available at our slot machine cashier. Just transfer credit onto this card, and move freely from game to game, carrying your money with you on the card. No more dirty fingers, no need to find a cup for the coins, no heavy coins: Your money is on your card and cannot be lost!

By the way, we do not only offer anonymous cards but also personalized cards. These cards allow you to earn bonus points that you can directly use again. Just ask one of our staff members – our card system is easily explained and works perfectly safely at our slot machines!
